In remembrance
Each year we walk together through Baltimore in remembrance of the Black women and girls our community has lost. We say their names aloud — because they were here, because they mattered, and because saying them aloud is the work of remembering.

Why we walk
Grief without remembrance becomes silence. We refuse the silence.
The Say Her Name walk gathers our community — families, friends, neighbors, strangers — to move through the streets of Baltimore together, slowly, holding the names of women and girls who should still be here. We don't dramatize their loss. We honor their lives. We carry their names so they are not carried alone.

From the walk
Baltimore turned out in pink. Families carried her portrait. Neighbors stood beside neighbors. These are moments from the 1st Annual Say Her Name Walk at Montebello Lake.
