The short version
We collect only what we need to respond to you, plan our events, and run a basic website. We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it beyond the tools we use to operate. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions — your name, email, topic, and message, sent to our team via email.
- Sponsorship & support payments — when you sponsor the walk or support our programs, our payment processor collects your name, email, billing address, and payment details. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive the amount, the last four digits, and a confirmation that the payment succeeded.
- Walk registration — handled by Google Forms; please review Google’s privacy notice for their data practices.
- Basic analytics — anonymous traffic data from our hosting platform. No personal profiles, no cross-site tracking.
How we use it
We use the information you send to reply to you, coordinate event logistics, and improve our community programs. We don’t use your information for advertising and we don’t sell it to anyone.
Who we share it with
Information you send through the site reaches Developing Lives organizers. We use the following third-party service providers to run the site:
- Payment processing (Stripe) — handles sponsorship and support payments.
- Email delivery (Resend) — sends contact-form responses and payment receipts.
- Website hosting & analytics (Vercel) — hosts the site and provides anonymized traffic metrics.
- Walk registration (Google Forms) — collects RSVPs for the Say Her Name walk.
- Instagram embeds (Instagram / Behold.so) — displays our public Instagram feed on the site.
Each provider has its own privacy practices and processes data only as needed to deliver the service to us. We do not sell your information to any third party.
Photography at events
Photos and short video are sometimes taken at community events, including the Say Her Name walk, and may be shared on our website or social media. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, please let an organizer know on the day.
Your choices
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you’ve sent us, email developinglivesfounder@gmail.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Children’s information
Our programs serve youth ages 12–18. We collect information about minors only through their parent or guardian (e.g., on a program enrollment form), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children directly through this website.
